What to Expect

At Temple Baptist Church, you can expect a warm welcome, encouraging fellowship, and solid Bible teaching. You may have some questions about what to expect on your first visit - we’ve tried to answer some of those questions here!

What should I wear?

At Temple Baptist, you’ll find people wearing everything from jeans and a nice shirt to suits and ties. Dress however you feel comfortable, and you’ll be welcome.

What is your music like?

We love to sing a blend of old hymns and contemporary hymns. Our goal is to worship God with songs that are filled with truths about who He is and what He has done.

What are your sermons like?

We stick to the Word of God as our authority, and all of our teaching and preaching come directly from it. It’s pretty common to find us studying a book of the Bible chapter by chapter, but we do topical studies from time to time as well.

What about giving or offering?

We take offerings during the Sunday school and morning service to give back a portion of what God has given us and to provide for the upkeep of the church.

As a visitor, you are our guest, and we do not expect you to give any money. Feel free to let the plate pass!

What’s available for my children?

We have several ministries available for your children…

  • Sunday School for children ages 3-6

  • Recently updated space for nursing mommies

  • A playroom/nursery for toddlers up to 3 years old (Our nursery isn’t staffed every Sunday, but we’d be happy to provide staff at your request. Please come a few minutes early so we can help you and your children feel comfortable! :) )

We also value the importance of including children in the church body, so feel free to keep your children with you in the services if that is your preference.
